Arnold Buckman is an experienced entrepreneur and investor who oversees a diversified group of family-owned businesses in Illinois, Florida, and California. His professional background spans recycling, agriculture, aviation, real estate, and private wealth management, reflecting decades of practical leadership across both industrial and financial sectors.
As owner and president of Buckman Iron & Metal Co., Inc., Mr. Buckman directs a recycling enterprise with more than 120 years of operating history. The company maintains facilities in LaSalle, Ottawa, and Mendota, Illinois. Under his leadership, its recycling sites have undergone significant modernization, including the installation of advanced processing equipment and the development of improved drive-through facilities designed to strengthen efficiency and customer service.
Mr. Buckman also manages Buckman Farms, which encompasses thousands of acres of Illinois farmland and operates through partnerships with experienced agricultural professionals. His other ventures include an aviation charter business, a real estate investment company with properties in several states, and Buckman Trading, a private fund focused on investment and wealth management.
Drawing on prior experience as a floor trader, Mr. Buckman maintains seats on the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He has also been an active Rotary Club member for more than 38 years, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to community involvement. Outside of business, he enjoys boating, flying, kayaking, cycling, and motorcycling.
